Through Prismfly, the agency partner Strolleria works with, they were onboarded to the Uptime app in order to automate QA testing across their online store, and get peace of mind through real-time monitoring of the Shopify status page and third-party apps they use on the store.
Detecting broken checkout buttons
Through Uptime’s white glove onboarding, we recorded a handful of unique test flows to simulate real customer interactions with the online store – such as adding upsells to cart, quick-adding products to cart, and proceeding to checkout.
In the last 30 days alone, these tests have run over 400 times, ensuring these critical customer journeys are functioning correctly, and saving the Strolleria team over 8 hours and 42 minutes of manual QA testing.

Just a couple weeks after installing the Uptime app, the Strolleria and Prismfly team received alerts for two test flows which tested the ability to proceed from a product page to checkout.

After receiving the alert and viewing the screenshot taken at the time of failure, it was immediately apparent that a pop-up, which was recently added for a Black Friday promotion, was blocking the ability to click on the checkout button. This was due to the pop-up taking the focus of the cursor which blocked clicks on other elements.
With this knowledge in hand, Prismfly was able to immediately notify Strolleria and resolve the issue, saving thousands of dollars in potential lost revenue from an issue that most likely would’ve gone unnoticed.
