Introducing screenshot comparison for test flow failures
Comparing test flow screenshots to quickly assess issues
When an automated test flow fails the screenshot is a great way to understand what caused the failure.
However, sometimes just the single screenshot doesn't show the whole failure story. That's why we added screenshot comparisons – where Uptime will automatically pull in a screenshot from the last time the test passed, so you can compare it with the screenshot from the most recent failure.
We hope the comparison of these screenshots will allow you to assess and fix issues on your online store quickly!
How to view test flow screenshot comparisons
To view test flow screenshot comparisons, first, open the Uptime app from your Shopify admin.
Next, head over to the Test Flows tab. From your list of automated test flows, hover your mouse over a test flow that was previously passing and has recently failed, and click the View screenshot button.
You should now see a modal containing both the last successful flow run screenshot on the left, and the most recent flow run failure screenshot on the right.
